EXCUSE ME WHILE I GO HAVE A PANIC ATTACK

I’M GOING TO BE IN LONDON FOR THIS!1!!11

There is absolutely no way this is real. From what I’ve seen online Sue has said we can’t even expect in in November. I’m thinking December or January is far more likely.

If something is scheduled to be released in the Autumn/ “later in the year” then IMDb will frequently list it with a release date of mid-Sept until an actual date is announced. Happens every damn year…

Never trust IMDB for that very reason.

Sue said YESTERDAY that it wouldn’t be until around January. (Source)

THIS HAS BEEN A SIGNAL BOOST.

Babes Amy, Lyndsay, Melinda, Sarah, and Taylor have a truly delightful chat with award-winning author and friend Daniel Stashower about Sherlock Holmes, history, Sherlockian pastiches, childhood reading, lizards with grenades, and more!

Sweet sauce, this was a GREAT interview!

On May 27th (the day we put out our first podcast episode) we will officially be 2 years old! Come celebrate our second birthday with food, drinks, board games, and lots of Sherlockian love!
Your ticket gets you all the noms (hors d’oeuvres) you want. There is a cash bar that sells all the alcohol your liver can take as well as soft drinks, tea, etc. Please note the food, while plentiful, is hors d’oeuvres, not a sit-down dinner.
You can get tickets at bsb2ndbirthday.bpt.me

Sherlock Holmes: Slash & Fandom Survey

shakeytime:

Hi all! I’m writing a paper for “Sherlock Holmes: Past and Present,” an academic conference being held next month in London. http://www.ies.sas.ac.uk/ies-events/conferences/SherlockHolmes

Anyhoo, I’m writing about slash in the fandom and would love to include some data from you, the fans! Whether you’re a part of the Cumber-Collective or an old school canon fan, a slasher or not, I want to hear from you! I’m interested in answering questions about gender, sexuality, characterization, fan culture, and more. Hopefully, the answers you give me can help paint a broader picture of the appeal of slash fanfiction and fanworks.

I’ve created a short survey- it’s 10 questions, anonymous, and shouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes. If you have more to say and would like to be interviewed, or have any questions, send me a message!

Thanks everyone! :”)

P.S. Reblog please! I’m trying to get as many responses as possible. Thanks so much to everyone who has already taken it. Jumpers, jam, and crime scenes for you all!

That Time I Met Sue Vertue. And Steven Moffat. And Was In the Same Room as Matt Smith. Yay!

feministbitchpurse:

I had heard via The Way Station FB, and through various Twitter sources, that there was a chance that Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue would be at the bar tonight to watch the finale of this latest series of “Doctor Who.”

There were three officially scheduled showings: 1:00 PM, 3:30 PM, and 5:00 PM. But then it was suggested by the lovely folks at The Way Station that they could maybe do a 6:30 showing as well (5:00 and 6:30/6:45 are more their usual screening times). Sue Vertue then asked if there was in fact going to be a 6:30 showing.

So I planned my day.

This has Sherlock stuff in it. I couldn’t be there, but I’m mentioned, which makes me giggle.

So yes, no Sherlock in November. Prob January, but they really don’t know.

The Game Is On!

Perfect for detective work in chilly conditions, these practical fingerless mittens allow for easy handling of clues, mugs of tea, magnifiers, books, riding crops and laptops.

They go well with my ‘Knitting is boring’ infinity scarf as well.

Here is the ravelry pattern - it is free!

Fabulous.
