hello dear followers: 

i’m writing right now to ask you to take thirty seconds from your day to help someone who truly deserves it. to my sherlockian followers—i don’t know how many of you follow brianna, but you all should, because her blog is one of true beauty and quality.

basically, brianna has been pursuing her dream of studying abroad in england. she’s been applying for scholarships like crazy, and she’s been so excited, and this is her d r e a m. do you have a dream? because she has a dream and she has been looking forward to this more than i can even believe. 

today, brianna found out that she wasn’t the recipient of the scholarship she was banking on to make this dream reality. you can read about her plans and efforts here. you can also donate to her trip here. i know that a lot of people on this site are young people, students, people with student debt, people with regular debt, people who can barely support themselves, let alone someone they don’t know. So- here is something that is super simple that you can do:

go to her blog. click one of the ads that are there. open it in a new tab, a new window, anything. just leave it open for a minute. that’s all. you don’t need to do anything else. I know that tumblr can do great things. I’ve seen it. I saw us raise over 10 grand for Benedict Cumberbatch’s birthday last month. we did that out of love. We did that out of care and generosity and by the wonderful sense of unity that fandom, culture and kindness on this site has given us.
