The Baker Street Babes kindly asked me to do a little write up about the SHERLOCK Casebook I bought last week at the Frankfurt Book Fair.

So my friend (imadecoffeejohn.tumblr.com) and I took a close look at the book. The introduction to the Casebook is a ‘rebirth of Sherlock Holmes’. It’s the story of Steven and Mark discussing the idea on a train and how many actors played Sherlock Holmes before and what’s different about the BBC one. There are about 20 pages for each episode/case. Between the cases you can find short information (2 pages) about their flat, John’s biography or the adventures of differing deerstalkers. There are also facts about the original stories used in each episode and other additional information, e.g. for ‘A Scandal in Belgravia’: The Hat or Vatican Cameos

The best about the book are the post-its. There are hundreds of post-its between Sherlock and John, which could easily be found on the fridge of a married couple. They make headcanons come true and fangirl hearts beating faster. I’m not quite sure if I should tell you that tumblr is mentioned on a post-it. But now you know.
And if you want to break your heart: just read the last page.

The SHERLOCK Casebook is exactly what every fan needs (besides season 3). So if you have the opportunity to spend 15 Pounds: Buy it ;-)
