Review: The Revenge Of Sherlock Holmes at Hoxton Hall + Minicast!
The Revenge Of Sherlock Holmes
Performed at Hoxton Hall, London.

The Baker Street Babes
Jenn and I went to see The Revenge of Sherlock Holmes at Hoxton Hall a couple of days ago. The posters promised “a Music Hall musical of elementary magnificence” with “more Victoriana than even Prince Albert could handle”. Intrigued, but not sure what to expect, we trotted along just past Liverpool Street and weren’t disappointed. A Holmes that reminded me of Jonny Lee Miller in his mannerisms and general attitude; a Watson who wore the loudest suit that I’ve ever seen on a stage and a moustache that meant business, and some fantastic ladies—foremost of all Bella, whose cunning and wit is a fair match for Sherlock Holmes, but also a brilliant Mrs Hudson.

bakerstreetbabes:

Babes Ardy and Kafers chat to Luke Fredericks and Stewart Charlesworth, whose company Morphic Graffiti just opened a production of The Revenge of Sherlock Holmes, “a music hall musical of elementary magnificence”. Last year, the company staged Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in musical form—this year, they’re tackling our favourite detective. Hooray! We might just break out into song… okay, don’t fear, we left that part to the professionals.
Luke and Stewart tell us why the combination of Holmes and the music hall is a winner, talk about the challenges and high points involved in putting Sherlock Holmes on stage, and sing the praises of their cast. We talk Victorian music hall, costuming, and more!
The Revenge of Sherlock Holmes just opened at Hoxton Hall, 130 Hoxton Street, N1 6SH, London, and is running until May 10, 2013. Tickets are available from the Hoxton Hall website, or you can call their box office on 020 7684 0060.

“Who’d want me as a flatmate?” - WE DO!
We = tramjohnwatson, a danish lady and myself; currently on the look-out for a fourth flatmate (<— this could be you!!) to share a flat in this lovely Victorian brick house in London with us.

You can move in from 01/04/13 onwards and be…
I use to live here. Tis a lovely place. You’d be in my old room.. if that means anything.
Signal boost, because as stated, I use to live here. It’s lovely and your flatmates will be lovely. After I left, fanfic writer Atlin lived in my room, so it’s a very Sherlocky room. Know someone who is looking for a place to live in London? Stoke Newington is delightful and hipsterish.
Was just sent this information from Ross K Foad, who runs No Place Like Holmes and plays the title character. If you’re in the London area, go be an extra!!
An exciting chance for fans and actors alike. We are currently recruiting for a few speaking extras in the current NPLH episode being filmed.
All extras receive an IMDb credit as well as a spot on the NPLH guest star wall as well as obviously a chance to spend time with some of the NPLH Cast. Show reel footage will also be given to those that are interested for that purpose.
The roles are for that of animal rights protesters , there are no age restrictions and previous experience is not essential.

Just before I headed down to London for SHAM 2013, the whole uproar about a certain article exploded. These are some of the lovely, amazing people who were there. We all love different parts of the world of Sherlock Holmes - as was proven by the quiz later that night! But we were all there because we all love Sherlock Holmes.
We are all Sherlockians.
All these people I love (and miss!)!

Here it is! SHAM 2013! Our amazing Ardy is taking the helm once again for this fabulous Sherlock Holmes anniversary meet-up, in honour of Holmes & Watson meeting. All the details can be found at http://bit.ly/SHAM2013 and make sure you RSVP! But here’s some info, though please note all updates will be on the livejournal post before they’ll be here.
We now have the Sherlock Holmes Walk with Richard IV booked for 10 am on Saturday January 26. Afterwards we have a space reserved at the Montagu Pyke, which is in Tottenham Court Road. The walk ends near the Sherlock Holmes Pub and Embankment Station, so you can get the Northern Line - people from outside London may want to buy Travelcards rather than Return tickets.
After that, we can split up and you can either go to Baker Street or to Speedy’s or to the Museum of Gruesome History thing that was suggested.
Once I have an idea of numbers, I’ll book somewhere for dinner. Most likely Bella Italia, if there’s a lot of people. There’ll be a Sherlockian quiz during dinner :)
We’re still working on something for the Sunday, but so far it looks like it’ll just involve reserving a space at the Sherlock Holmes pub so that the people who are still around can hang out and talk.
