I was debating reblogging this as the source has been removed (ie tweet was deleted), but it’s an innocent enough photo. Cast & crew. Louise is so wee!

Happy Birthday Louise Brealey~! Way to live the dream :DDD
I had to draw them in character okay

Can we take a moment to squeal about being included in one of enerjax’s pieces?

Ok. Moment over.

You’re wrong, you know. You do count. You’ve always counted and I’ve always trusted you.

She’s the greatest.

2012 was a hell of a year for us. It started with a bang with Sherlock Series 2 coming out and then it was a whirlwind of a time with SHAM 2012. April brought us an unforgettable brunch with Amanda Abbington and the Undershaw Flash Mob in Trafalgar Square. In May we were at the PBS Q&A and two of us got to meet Moffat & Sue. Then to go to the BAFTAs and SCREAM along with everyone else when Andrew won. Chatting with Louse Brealey at Milton Keynes, speaking at A Scintillation of Scions, being interviewed for The Today Show! Sherlock Holmes Night and then SHERLOPALOOZA. A ridiculous amount happened inbetween and will continue to happen, but we wanted to thank all of you for going on this journey with us, for coming to the events, to listening to the podcast, and for being the best fandom out there.

Bye bye 2012, here’s hoping 2013 will be just as epic!

The Game is On: Some Hints at What Happened at the Q&A with Mark Gatiss and Friends

All right guys, now I’m back and I’m about to go to bed but I wanted to clarify some stuff that happened at The Criterion tonight.

Edit: added some stuff about interspecies alien girlfriends from space (from Doctor Who) that Moffat answered

Also, if my account is inaccurate in any way, let me know. I was in the very back row so sometimes I couldn’t hear over the crowd’s laughter/cheering/clapping. I could see really well, though.

Here’s pretty good account of the events of this afternoon. Just a few more things to add!

It was really just a fantastic experience. The guests were just on such form. There was so much laughter and good humoured teasing. You can really tell all these miserably talented sods love each other to pieces. Poor Benedict got the mickey constantly taken out of him in his absence. Once, when some question suggested he looked like the eye creature from Pan’s Labyrinth (which cued everyone to make the pose), and secondly when Mark imitated the final scene in a tease of how Sherlock survived the fall (he lowered his voice and head so he had multiple chins… and then brought out a can of Red Bull).

Loo and Sue had a great discussion on female roles which really just needs to be heard to do it justice.

Martin called the red pants fans “fucking shocking,” and I’m sure somewhere reapersun is rocking back and forth in a corner. They really do know everything, well, except Rupert. Bless him. He is a manchild, an adorable manchild. He was so playful and fun and just seemed really damn happy to be there.

There was so many innuendos flying around. More than once everyone was doubled over in laughter (I thought we were going to lose Moffat for a moment, he was beside himself). Poor Loo really did get the brunt of it, but hey, when you say she’s going to “milk Sherlock,” well… yeah. Likewise when asked what their characters would really want, she just said “A kiss… with tongue.” And it progressed to milking Sherlock from there. I can’t really describe that conversation. I was too busy trying not to get a hernia from laughing.

I could go on and on but I think the recording is really the best bet to capture the afternoon. It was so much fun, and even the questions that bordered on slightly uncomfortable (there was an audible cringing gasp as someone started a fanfic question), they ended up OK. The crew was really on top form.

Ironically, Amanda happened to sit down right in front of me and we had a bit of a moment. It was so lovely to see her again and we had a small chat after her queue of sudden fans dispersed. She’s doing well and is very very very busy. She’s filming all sorts of good things.

It was SO lovely to meet so many of you today! It was funny because I knew someone people said they would say hello, but turns out Kafers and I were surrounded by listeners. I got a bit gooey. I always do. Thank you girls Xx For those who don’t know, I was stuck out of the UK for six weeks and only recently got back. Seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new people and listeners and everything, it’s really, truly, meant so much. I am so very lucky to be part of this fandom. You’re all amazing and gorgeous.

I’m sort of on Cloud 9 right now.
