At SHERLOPALOOZA, Babes Curly, Kafers, Maria, & Ardy were joined by Sherlock composer Michael Price and blog writer Joe Lidster for a fun filled Q&A. Mostly questions from the audience, it’s a fabulous and unlikely double act.
SHERLOPALOOZA was an all day screening of the second series of Sherlock plus a Q&A with two of the artistic crew. It took place on November 17th at the Prince Charles Cinema in London and was hosted by The Baker Street Babes with support from The Sherlock Holmes Society of London.
You can find Michael at www.michaelpricemusic.com, on twitter at @michael__price, and on facebook.
Joe is on twitter at @JoeLidster.
Michael Price tweeted a link to this just now. Beautiful and a bit haunting version of The Woman with some synthesizer work. Really lovely.
So SherlockNYC is hosting their own Sherlock Series 2 screening on November 17th, and we thought it’d be glorious to have one the same day by across the pond! With being in London, we do have the advantage of having some guests!
We have Michael Price, the composer for Sherlock and Joe Lidster, the man behind the Sherlock blogs confirmed to attend. We’re still sending out enquiries and waiting to hear back from others. We’ll update as we know more of course.
The preliminary schedule is to have doors open at 10AM with BELG starting at 11. Small break and then HOUND, lunch, then a Q&A with Sherlock Creatives, and then finally FALL, ending at 8PM.
The thing is… we need to prove to some people that there is enough interest to warrant them helping us financially to get this sorted! So what we need from you is to answer this poll HONESTLY. There are 285 seats at The Prince Charles Cinema (by Leicester Square), whom we’ve spoken with and plan to have the screening at.
So PLEASE vote in this poll [HERE], just so we have concrete numbers to show. Naturally you can reblog saying yes, etc, but please also vote!
Thank you!

So to some questions which will undoubtedly be asked!
Why £30? This is to pay for the cinema hire and the license fee to get the rights to show Sherlock. For a full day of Sherlock, Q&A, and some goodies, it’ll be worth it, we promise! The £40 VIP will be to further this and for decorations, supplies, and gift bags for attendees. In addition by purchasing one of the VIP tickets, you’ll be in one of the first three rows and get first go at autographs, as a thank you.
Where is this? London! The Prince Charles Cinema is right in Leicester Square. Centrally located and everything. It’s a FANTASTIC venue. There’s a bar downstairs just outside of the cinema. The people there are fantastic and we can make it really special.
WILL BENEDICT BE THERE?!?!11/??! He’s not available. But we’ve asked all involved so hopefully we’ll get at least one of the cast members, though who we’ve got already is still epic!
So you’re doing a live podcast? Yes! The Q&A will be recorded and put online with our other episodes. Audience members will get to ask questions, huzzah!
Will it be filmed? Possibly. It’s something we can look into.
Have any other questions? Please ask. We want this to happen, but we need people to come!

The Music of Sherlock ›
STEVENAGE: Hotel Novotel
SAT 22ND SEP, 2012 Talk starts at 2pm
Elementary my dear Watson?
From the score for prize-winning documentary The Mountain Within, following the emotional journey of a group of adults with disabilities climbing Mt Kilimanjaro to Hot Fuzz, The Inbetweeners Movie, Children of Men, and more recently the critically acclaimed BBC series, Sherlock, Michael Price has proved himself as an inspirational composer.
His work with David Arnold on the score of Sherlock saw him nominated for BAFTA and EMMY awards and gained him a Royal Television Society Award. But how did he do it?
Michael Price reveals the secrets behind the music at this special event. This is a ‘must see’ for anyone who has an interest in film scores or anyone who delighted in the BBC series, Sherlock.
